Color contact lenses are my favorite. I've probably tried most colors, and from many different brands. One thing that I found was that although some colors look good on my eyes, others made me look fake or horrible. After much trial and error, I finally figured out how to choose the best color lenses for your eyes.
It is important to understand that color contacts can come in two forms: opaque lenses or enhancement color contacts. Enhancements colors lenses change the color of your eyes or make them look brighter and more sparkly. These lenses are not suitable for people with dark eyes, such as blue, green, gray, or light brown. These lenses appear natural looking because they are partially transparent.
Optically, however, you can change the color of your eyes completely. These lenses can be used by people with darkened eyes because they are not transparent. If your natural color is brown and you want sky blue eyes, you will need opaque color contacts, enhancements won't do the job for you. People with dark eyes can choose to wear one or both of these lenses depending on what effect they desire.
Colour contacts for subtle change
Contacts in blue or aqua are wonderful for naturally blue-eyed girls. Why would someone with blue eyes want colored lenses? Blue enhancement lenses can make a big difference to your appearance. While your eyes may still be blue, your eyes appear brighter. My own blue eyes are mine and I love to wear blue tinted contacts. My favorite Acuvue 2 colors is Ocean Blue.
Naturally grey eyes also respond well to blue tints. Although the color is not as intense as over-blue eyes, it appears more like a blue-grey. However, it looks natural and appealing. Acuvue 2 colors or Freshlook Dimensions are good choices.
Green color contacts look great with blue or gray eyes. It is easy to notice the difference when jade green is mixed into your natural color.
Freshlook Radiance color lenses will add sparkle to your eyes. Eden (for grey or blue eyes) is my favorite color. Over hazel eyes, autumn and sunrise colors are very intriguing.
Colour contact lenses for dramatic change
Optically formulated lenses are required to drastically change the brown eyes' color. Acuvue Colors Opaque, Freshlook Colorblends, and lens town Illusions by Ciba Vision are all good options.
Freshlook Colorblends Sapphire and Amethyst are the best colors for dark-eyed women. You will not be able to miss the dramatic change.
Honey color contacts may be the best option for you if your eyes are blue or grey. These lenses will make you look warmer. To further enhance this effect, use warm lipsticks and natural colors to make up.
Color contact lens safety
If you're already wearing contact lenses to improve your sight, you will know how they are put in and how to take care of them. You don't need to use contact lenses for cosmetic purposes. Ask your doctor.
The most important rule about color contact lenses is that they block oxygen supply to the eyes more than clear prescription contacts. Actually, the color portion doesn't allow oxygen through. Your eyes should not be exposed to color lenses for more than 6-8 hours per day. These lenses should not be worn during sleep.
Give yourself a pair if color contact lenses. Gorgeous, sparkling eyes are the best way to enhance a woman's appearance. For people who like to alter their appearance, it's a lot of fun to try out different lenses.
